First podium

Today I took the podium to talk about the work my and partner team are doing at ServiceNow. I was poised and calm. I had run the demo quite a few times for going to podium. The demo worked as expected all the time but the only time it had to run in front audience, it did not💥

Anything that can go wrong will go wrong.

Well, I had to put some hacks here and there to make it ready for demo. So before the demo, for my practice I had tried the flow several times and made it working. Just before my time of podium, the local instance of the app got logged out. There are a few steps that have to be performed in sync to after the instance gets logged out to revive the session. I forgot one of the step while presenting my demo.

No matter, how confident I was, I did not deliver as I thought I will.

Anything that is worth doing is worth doing poorly.

It was my first time, and still better than my other first times at many things 👻
